trollkin battlewagon review

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Battle Report, Kurtle's Blog, Uncategorized
What do you get when you combine two bison, half a boat, four wheels and a doomsday cannon?...

That's right nine points of troll kin awesomeness the war wagon.

Not only is it nice to look at the war wagon is kitted out with a ground pounding AOE 5 PWR 16 cannon that knocks down all who get caught under it, those who dare to stand up to its power and speed are swept away by two heavy bison with power 14 attacks with the line breaker special rule. (boosted to hit)

To get the most  out of a troll kin war wagon in my opion is not to go rushing it into combat this only leads to you getting counter charged and with it only being DEF 10 it can die quite easily this I have tried and it didn't end well, now the amount of fire power the cannon puts out is devastating so using the wagon to support your main forces looks to be a good idea, but oh no what if the cannon scatters backwards on to my army? nothing a bombers animus can fix, after knocking down your opponents forces this leaves easy work for units like champions.

All in all the war wagon has its strong points and there are still combinations I havnt tried but its still early days and there is still alot i need to learn what works with the wagon if anybody has any ideas or any questions please leave a comment.

Thanks for reading and keep up the warfare.

Monthly Fantasy Sunday! A Kurtle The Turtle Production

Posted on 9 CommentsPosted in Events, Kurtle's Blog
Hi guys finally got on the blog yay!... this is my first entry so please let me know how I have done and excuse any mistakes.

I know its taken a while but here are the rules for first few months of Monthly Fantasy Sunday! If there are any questions on the following please let me know and I will get back to you.

Monthly Fantasy Sunday will begin on the first Sunday of April and will kick off at 11am if there are any concerns of the day please let me know and I will try to make it best for everyone taking part. Here are the rules for the first event;

*each player has to take a 1000 point list.

*the contents of a battalion must be taken. (to round off to a 1000 points anything aswell as can be taken. )

*players must stick to what the army selection summary table allows. (page 135 in the warhammer fantasy rule book .)

*each player must select two lores of magic and stick with them throughout the tournament.

*each player must at least have one unit /monstrous creature painted for the start of the tournament.

*no proxies allowed but conversions are ok.

The aim of this event is to start a fantasy community down the store and it would be nice to see some new and regular faces battle it out and make a name for themselves. I have yet to play the new fantasy and I don't want to see my Skaven rot away so if your a beginner like myself or a pro looking for a new challenge the more the merrier.

Every first Sunday of the month I will be holding this event. After a few weeks of practice we will then be holding a legendary battle!

Thanks guys. your friendly neighbourhood turtle
